Gulu-Uganda :Kumalo Sports Interim Coach and Technical Director, Gilbert Mwaka, has called for calm among players, coaches and fans following the Academy team’s back-to-back defeats this week.

Mwaka urged all stakeholders to remain focused and supportive, stressing the importance of learning from the setbacks as the team works to regain its form and return to winning ways
Addressing the players, Mwaka urged them not to dwell too much on the recent defeats, reminding them that football comes with different results, a win, a draw or a loss. He encouraged the players to remain focused on their individual and collective development, stressing that, as young players still in the development process, their priority should be to continue improving their skills, building confidence and learning to play better `-football.
Mwaka also called on the fans to remain hopeful and continue showing confidence in the team despite the recent setbacks. He assured supporters that the Academy side remains committed to improving, pledging a strong comeback as the players and technical team work to turn their fortunes around.
Kumalo Sports Club Chief Executive Director, Ivan Oyo, has reaffirmed the club’s commitment to supporting its young players and nurturing their footballing ambitions. Oyo says the club will continue providing the necessary support and opportunities to ensure the players’ hope of pursuing careers in football remains alive.
Kumalo Sports Academy U-19 endured a difficult week, suffering back-to-back 1-0 defeats. The young side lost to Legacy FC last Wednesday before falling to Lwani Soccer Academy by the same scoreline today. Both matches were played at the Gombe Junior School playground in Gulu.

Despite the setbacks, the Academy’s technical team and management remain confident in the players development, urging them to learn from the defeats, stay focused and continue working towards better performances in their upcoming matches.
