Kumalo Sports Club secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Gulu College of Health Sciences this afternoon at the SOCO Playground, with a composed penalty from Mwaka Richard in the 73rd minute proving to be the difference.

In what was a closely contested match, both sides showed discipline and determination throughout. The breakthrough finally came midway through the second half when Kumalo Sports Club were awarded a penalty after a foul on Onekalit Geoffrey in the box.

Mwaka Richard stepped up with confidence and calmly slotted the ball home in the 73rd minute to give his side a crucial lead.

Komakech Brian settled in well, Ibrahim Sunday, fresh off being named the best defender in the recently concluded USSSA regional tournament, lived up to the billing with a commanding and assured performance at the back and Lapok Innocent showed great energy and promise.
