Kumalo Sports Club secured a dramatic place in the 2025 Gulu DFA Super Cup Final after edging past Gulu City Council Football Club in a tense penalty shootout. The semi-final clash ended in a goalless draw after an intense battle between the two sides, with neither team able to break the deadlock during regular time.

The match was ultimately decided from the spot, where Kumalo Sports Club held their nerves to triumph 5–4 on penalties, sealing their ticket to the grand finale.

Earlier, Gulu University had showcased their strength with a commanding 5–0 victory over Gulu City Lacor Football Club, making them the first team to book a place in the final.

The much-anticipated final will now see Kumalo Sports Club face Gulu University on Sunday, 28th September 2025, at the Gulu School of Clinical Officers football pitch, with kick-off scheduled for 3:00 PM.
