Kumalo Sports Club advanced to the semifinals of the Gulu DFA Super Cup after defeating St. Phillips Football Club in a dramatic quarterfinal at Gulu High School Football Ground.
The match ended 0–0 after full time, with both sides creating chances but failing to score. Strong defending and excellent goalkeeping kept the tense encounter goalless until penalties decided it.
In the shootout, Kumalo goalkeeper Ojara Bosco emerged as the hero, making two crucial saves. His brilliance helped Kumalo secure a thrilling 4–3 penalty victory, while Olanya Jacob was named Man of the Match for his outstanding performance throughout the game.
With this result, Kumalo Sports Club will now face Gulu City Council Football Club in the semifinals on Saturday, 27th September 2025, as they chase Super Cup glory.
