Kumalo Sports Academy has completed the first leg of the Gulu DFA 6th Division League 2026 with a strong and encouraging performance as the club continues its pursuit of promotion.

The league, which kicked off on 8th May 2026, featured nine competing teams battling for top positions. During the first leg, Kumalo Sports Academy managed to register three wins, four draws and one defeat, collecting an impressive 13 points from their matches.
The academy currently sits 3rd on the league table, just one point behind joint leaders Gulu Bethel Football Club and Tanda Football Club, who both have 14 points. The close gap at the top leaves the promotion race wide open heading into the second leg.

Throughout the competition, Kumalo Sports Academy displayed determination, teamwork and consistency, managing to remain competitive against strong opposition. The team’s performances have kept their hopes of promotion alive as they continue to grow in confidence with every match.
Attention now shifts to the second leg of the league scheduled from 14th May to 16th May 2026, where Kumalo Sports Academy will be aiming to climb to the top of the standings and secure promotion to the Gulu DFA 5th Division League.
With momentum building inside the squad, the academy remains focused and determined to finish the campaign strongly.
